When life has gone out of the preacher, it is not long before it is gone from the church also.

If you wish to see a spiritual revival in your church, give close attention to the preaching.

Preaching is God's prime means of communicating the Christian faith, but it also has an uplifting effect on society in general.

The pastor is the watch-person appointed to warn the people of approaching danger.

The Bible is full of examples of who forget God, reject His standards, and ignore His offer of mercy.

Beyond the immediate earthly danger faced by the nation, there is a fearful, personal danger which we all face because of our individual sinful acts and rebelliousness.

Preaching fails if we are not constantly warning the sinner of the certain results that will follow hardness of the heart.

While the Bible nowhere excuses sin but rather warns of its fearful consequences, it does extend a message of hope and forgiveness to those who yield to temptation.

Preaching should provide comfort to people through helping the sinner DO good rather than making them FEEL good.

Compassion should never be missing from preaching. The preacher represents the One who cares infinitely about every person and about every circumstance of their life.
